Carrick Swan GAA Notes – Monday 16th January 2012

We remind all players and members that annual membership subscription should be paid now - €20 for adults, €10 for minors and €5 for juveniles. Early remittance would be appreciated and payment can be made to registrar Willie Hahessy or any committee member.  It is most important that all players are fully paid members immediately to avail of insurance cover for all club activities.

Many of our adult and juvenile players are now back in training with numbers in attendance most encouraging. A number of our juvenile players also continue to attend county development squad sessions with great improvement and progress by all concerned. The club thank the parents who are providing transport each week. This is very much appreciated. Indoor training programme for all under-age players will soon commence and players will be notified in advance.

The numbers drawn in last week’s juvenile lotto were 1, 8, 17 & 25. We had no winner of our jackpot prize and two players matched 3 numbers to win €100 each – Gavin O’Halloran Cregg Lawns and Jim English Ashpark. We sincerely thank all those who continue to play our lotto. Weekly entry is €2 and this can be paid to any committee member or to any of our lotto promoters who will call to collect each week. This week’s jackpot prize is €2,750.

Carrick Swan club congratulates Bernard ‘Pinkie’ O’Neill on his recent successes in Masters Track & Field events.  Bernard’s involvement as physio and supporter of our club goes back a long way and we wish him every future success and enjoyment in his sporting pursuits.

We again remind ex players and supporters that your help and involvement in the club would be much appreciated. We encourage those who would like to help out in any way to contact any committee member.

Carrick Swan club extends its sympathy to the family of Phil Flynn, St.Johns Terrace who died during the week.
