Carrick Swan GAA Notes

Carrick Swan under 21 footballers are scheduled to play Ballyporeen in second round championship fixture on Tuesday evening of this week in Newcastle. Match report next week.

Carrick Swan under 14 hurlers played their second game in Carrigeen astroturf tournament on Saturday evening last when they lined against Ballyhale Shamrocks. We performed really well to run out convincing winners and go on to play Ballyduff on Wednesday evening of this week.

Last week’s lotto numbers were 9,16,21 and 23 We had no jackpot winner and five match 3 winners each receive €40 – John Power O’Mahony Ave., John Maher c/o Maggies, Rebecca Maher c/o Butlers Bar, Jamie Power Ballinurra and Mary Hogan 22 St.Johns Tce.  This week’s jackpot is €2,750 and we thank all those who continue to support our juvenile fundraising lotto. Weekly entry is €2 and you can join by contacting any committee member.

We remind all members that annual membership subscription should have been paid by now. If you have not already paid you can do so through any committee member.

Our juvenile disco on Friday night last was very well attended and all the children had a most enjoyable night. We thank those who helped out on the night.

Carrick Swan Club extends get well soon wishes to both Patsy Dalton Carrick-Beg and Frankie Dalton Clairin who have been hospitalised recently.

We extend our sympathy to Comeragh College Principal Pat Callanan on the recent death of his mother. We also extend our sympathy to the family of Mary Walsh, Garravoone who died recently.
