Carrick Swan GAA Notes – Monday 05th December 2011.
Following our annual general meeting last week preparations have already commenced for the new playing year. Most selection committees are now in place, club trainer appointed and players commencing their training programmes. We again thank all the players, mentors, committee members and supporters for their continued loyalty to our club as we already look forward to 2012.
The numbers drawn in last week’s juvenile lotto were 2, 4, 5 & 26. We had no jackpot winner – and 4 match 3 winners who each win €50 – Jean Ryan O’Mahony Avenue, Mary Faulkner 33 Collins Park, Beth Cooke 16 Killonerry Close and Joan Moloney St.Nicholas Park. Next week’s jackpot is €4,250 and we sincerely thank all those who continue to play our weekly lotto. Entry is €2 and this can be paid to any of our promoters or any committee member.
Presentation of medals to our under 6 boys & girls, under 8 boys and under 10 girls took place on Tuesday evening with all those in attendance enjoying the event. It was most pleasing to see so many parents and family members in attendance. All the children are now looking forward to our Christmas trip to Cork on Sunday 18thDecember when 100 boys and girls will travel to see the panto ‘Cinderalla’ in Cork Opera House. Those available to travel as helpers should advise juvenile secretary this week. Our under 10 panel of players have an outing this weekend to bowling alley and all players will be notified of timetable during the week.
We remind members and supporters that playing gear and leisure wear in club colours are available through juvenile secretary. These make ideal Christmas gifts and are very competitively priced.
Juvenile Christmas disco will take place on Friday night next from 8.00 – 10.30 p.m. All are welcome to attend this strictly supervised event. Helpers are requested to be in attendance at 7.45 p.m
