Carrick Swan Club Complete GAA Coaching Courses

On Saturday January 19th, over 20 members of Carrick Swan GAA club completed their Foundation and Level 1 GAA approved coaching courses. These courses ran over the past number of weeks and were of great benefit to all who took part. It was great to see all participants really get involved and one thing for sure is none of them have lost their competitive instincts with a lot of the drills and games being taken extremely seriously by all :-).

The club would like to sincerely thank James Hawkins for organising these courses, Bernie Torpey for preparing food throughout the courses and also both Michael O' Loughlin (Current Tipperary Senior Football Selector) and John Cummins (Current South Tipperary Games Development Administrator) on running exceptional courses which will help improve our club coaches. The knock-on effect of these coaching courses is that our kids and adults will be receiving improved coaching advice from their mentors and in turn have an even greater chance of success in the future.

The coaching courses are just one of the many improvements that will be coming on stream over the next five years. More improvements will be outlined in the Carrick Swan Strategic five-year plan which is being compiled at present and will be released within the next eight weeks. Release date to be announced soon.
