Carrick Swan invites all members and interested parties to a repeat showing of Colm & Kieron's presentation "Carrick Swan Hurling Review 2012; An Investigative Study into Top Hurling Clubs and Counties" tonight at 8pm in the Swan Hall.

This is a presentation on research that was carried out earlier in the year. The presentation will start by looking at the justification for conducting such a study and then look at the importance of hurling volume and hurling quality in teens and adults before focusing on player dropout.

The main part of the presentation will look at the dropout rate of teens in Carrick Swan GAA Club compared to other town teams in Tipperary and in other counties. It will also look at the GAA and other professional sports and give the general reasons for teen dropout in sport before giving the key recommendations from the research on how the club can aid player retention.

The presentation will finish with an informal Q&A session where anybody can ask questions or bring new ideas to the table that might not have been mentioned in the presentation.

This is a must-see for everyone interested in The Swan Club and the full report will be made available to download afterwards for anybody in the club to read.
