Carrick Swan senior hurlers played Killeanule

in South Championship semi-final on Sunday in Fethard. This was a repeat of our south final meeting of 2010 and the match was equally close. Killenaule started brightly playing into the wind and led 0-04 to 0-00 after 10 minutes. Despite losing a player to a red card mid way through the first half we battled hard to level the game going in at half time 0-06 each. We got on top early in the second half displaying great fitness, strength and determination despite being down a man and went into a 1-10 to 0-09 lead with 15 minutes left on the clock. Killenaule then got on top and scored six unanswered points to lead by two points with time almost up. In a last throw of the dice we scrambled home a winning goal to win the game 2-10 to 0-15. We compliment the panel of players and team mentors on a great success and wish them well in south final against Mullinahone. We also thank our great supporters who have been a tremendous help to the team not just on Sunday last but throughout the year. The south final has been provisionally fixed for the week end of 29th July.
