posted 15 Nov 2012, 04:55 by Carrick Swans

As part of the under-age squad development program, hurling coaching sessions are taking place in Dr Morris Park, Thurles on Saturday mornings at 9.30 am for the next few weeks.

Each Saturday a different aspect of play will be dealt with. Each session will last for 70 minutes and involve best practice in coaching at this level.

So far we’ve had sessions from:-

·         Eoin Kelly/Mickey McCullough          –          ‘Defence and Attack Strategy’,

·         Liam Sheedy/Ken Hogan                    –          ‘Preparing to Play for Tipperary

This Sat, 17th Nov, the Guest Coach will be Eamonn O’Shea and the topic will be ‘Movement and Spatial Awareness’.

Brendan Cummins, Paudie Butler & Paudie O’Neill will also be conducting sessions over the coming weeks.

If you are involved (or would like to become involved) with any team in The Swan Club you are invited to attend and observe these sessions and we feel it would benefit the club and our coaches to view them in action.
