Inter-Divisional Hurling Tournaments

posted 15 Apr 2013, 18:43 by Carrick Swans
It looks like a change of plan from previous correspondence as the u15 & u16 Rodger Ryan and Garda Cups are now being held in the North once more. This is the second year in a row that the Rodger Ryan cup is in Toomevara which makes it difficult for the ordinary fan from South Tipp and parts of West Tipp to attend.

Should our marquee underage tournaments be held in Semple Stadium? At the very least they should be held in a central location to all teams & spectators.

From the Bord Na nÓg scene: "The opening of the hurling action commences on Saturday April 20th with the staging of the Inter divisional hurling tournaments. Toomevara club acts as hosts for the U15 Roger Ryan memorial cup, while the U 16 Garda Cup action will take place in Templetuohy. The first action of the day is in Toomevara with both semi-finals starting @ 11am with the winners taking part in the cup final @12.15pm as will the shield final which features both runners up teams. In Templetuohy the semi-finals commence @2.15pm and both cup & shield finals @3.30pm. All games on Saturday are 20 minutes aside and all divisional secretaries should ensure that team panels are forwarded to the Bórd Pro no later than Thursday April 18th. The Bórd wishes to acknowledge the cooperation of both Toomevara and Templetuohy clubs in making their facilities available for games and is deeply appreciated"

Best of luck to Jack, Tommy, Shane, Daniel, Eric, Dean & Aaron at the weekend.
