Many of our scheduled underage matches did not take place this week because of weather conditions. Our under 12 hurling, under 10 football and camogie games were all postponed. Hopefully improved weather conditions will prevail this week and allow all these teams get back into action.

Our under 8 hurlers were in action however playing in Moyle Rovers memorial tournament on Saturday morning where they came away overall winners. Well done to all concerned and sincere thanks to the Moyle Rovers club for their invitation to play in this tournament and for their kind hospitality on the day.

We will welcome a group of players and officials from the O’Dwyers club in Dublin to The Green on Saturday afternoon next for under 9 hurling games with ourselves and some neighbouring clubs. We ask supporters to attend to welcome our visitors and all the young players. Refreshments will be served in juvenile centre after the games.

Carrick Swan club congratulates under 12 player Jack Connolly of Ballyneale N.S. who will line in primary schools game with Tipperary in Cork on Sunday next. Jack’s skill, dedication and determination has seen him make continued progress and we hope he and his family members have an enjoyable day.
