Juvenile NEWS:

posted 9 Jul 2012, 04:39 by Carrick Swans

A number of our juvenile hurling teams had successful outings this week showing much the same attributes as our seniors last week.

The under 16’s commenced their championship in the Davin Park with game against Moyle Rovers where they performed well to record a good win 1-18 to 1-10. Our under 16’s next outing is against St.Marys in Clonmel on Tuesday evening next.

Our under 14’s were also in action against Ballybacon Grange on The Green and came out on top after a most entertaining game 1-11 to 2-05.  Hopefully both of these teams will continue to improve as the championship progresses and might be involved in knock-out stages later on. The under 14’s play two games this week travelling to play Skeheenarinky on Tuesday and playing Mullinahone on The Green on Thursday evening.

We had two under 13 camogie games on The Green during the week winning against Galtee Rovers and losing out to a strong Gortnahoe team.

Our under 8 hurlers continued their busy programme of activities hosting visiting teams from Kilsheelan, St.Pats and Ballyneale on The Green on Saturday morning where all those in action displayed great skills and commitment.

We fielded two under 12 teams against St.Marys in Clonmel on Saturday morning where both teams played well to win their games.
