Carrick Swan Club extends its sincere condolences to the O'Neill family and extended family on the passing of Tommy after a lengthy illness. Tommy served the club with distinction all of his lifetime, as a player, a mentor and one of the most loyal supporters the club has ever had.  The standing that Tommy commanded in the club is best exemplified by the passion he displayed when although ill he was given the honour of  addressing our senior hurlers before the local derby match last year, the words that Tommy expressed that day touched all who were in the dressing room and the atmosphere was palpable as we knew in our hearts it would probably be the last time he would be able to do so and there were many moist eyes visible as our players took to the field that day.  Training nights will not be the same without Tommy as he was a constant presence running the rule over who was on form or not. A loyal Swan man to the last, Tommy's place in our clubs history is secure.
