Leinster GAA Coaching Seminars

Leinster GAA are hosting 5 Seminars within the next 4 months, which focus on different aspects of GAA coaching. 

1. Leinster GAA Physical Fitness Seminar 2015
Dr Kieran Collins is a sports scientist who has done some interesting research on the differences between inter-county and club players in the recent past. He will be presenting on current physical demands of Hurling and Football. This will be followed by details of how using High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) we can train players to be ready for these demands in faster more efficient way. This session will be both theory and practical in nature.

2. Leinster GAA Technical Proficiency Seminar 2015
Dr. Ed Coughlan has worked extensively with Mayo GAA in the past and is a renowned S&C coach. He will be delivering a seminar on skill aquisition and its implications for developing technically skilled players. This will be followed by a practical session putting this theory into practice.

3. Leinster GAA Playing Facts Seminar 2015
Professor Mike Hughes is a best selling author and one of the gurus of Performance Analysis. He will discuss his vast knowledge of this emerging area with particular focus on selecting and anlaysing Performance Indicators and there implications to the coaching process. This will be followed by a practical session on utilising performance analysis for both Hurling and Football.

4. Leinster GAA Psychological Focus Seminar 2015
Áine Macnamara is the Senior Lecturer in Elite Performance in the University of Limerick. Aine will be discussing the importance of mental preparation of players and its contribution to allowing a player perform at their best.

5. Leinster GAA Tactical Prowess & Team Play Seminar 2015
Cian O'Neill has trained Tipp & Kerry to All Ireland titles. Held in very high regard in GAA coaching circles and will be presenting the importance of developing both tactical prowess and team play to facilitate the development of the thinking player.

Tickets are €16.50 per event.  All seminars take place in NUI Maynooth.
